Indianapolis, IN (September 2017) – The IUPUI Bepko Learning Center in the Division of Undergraduate Education will host its 15th Annual IUPUI National Mentoring Symposium in the Campus Center on Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

This annual nationwide mentoring symposium for peer mentors and program directors provides a venue for sharing knowledge, ideas, and experiences to enhance mentoring skills and programming. In addition to the keynote address, over 30 breakout sessions, and informal poster sessions, the day’s event will also provide networking and professional development opportunities. Attendees can expect to leave with new tools, new skills, and a refreshed mind-set about how to be effective mentor leaders.

This year’s keynote speaker is nationally recognized motivational speaker and humorist Kevin Wanzer. Wanzer’s experience includes over 3,000 speaking engagements in multiple countries and across the United States, as well as time spent on the staff of the Late Night with David Letterman show and a presidential appointment during the Reagan administration. His focus is on personal uniqueness and passion, engagement, diversity, and community—all delivered with a healthy dose of laughter.
